An analysis of the prosecution of satire in Kazakhstan, translated from Russian to Greek by Athina Liakakou

Athina Liakakou is a translator for Global Voices in Greek. Her translation into Greek of the English-language story “The creative is political: Five lessons from the case of a satirical activist in Kazakhstan” — using a Russian-language translation as a bridge — has been nominated for the Lingua Translation Spotlight.

Once a quarter, Lingua Translation Managers select one or two outstanding translations that deserve a special round of applause.
