A piece about the global origins of words used in French, translated from French to Romanian by Maria Dabija

Maria Dabija is a translator for Global Voices in Romanian. Her translation of the fourth installment of the “Les mots ont la parole” series from French to Romanian has been nominated for the Lingua Translation Spotlight.

Once a quarter, Lingua Translation Managers select one or two outstanding translations that deserve a special round of applause. Ioana Dobre, the Romanian Lingua Translation Manager at Global Voices, commented:
