A deep dive into Algerian feminist radio, translated from English to Italian by Andrea Cortellari

Andrea Cortellari is a volunteer for Global Voices in Italian. His translation of the story “‘A woman’s voice is a revolution’: Digging into Algerian feminist radio creations” from English to Italian has been nominated for the Lingua Translation Spotlight.

Once a quarter, Lingua Translation Managers select one or two outstanding translations that deserve a special round of applause. Marisa Petricca, the Italian Lingua Translation Manager at Global Voices, commented that the article is an important one to have available in Italian, because Algeria-related news is rarely featured by Italy's national news outlets.
