Cristina-Mihaela Ciurea is a volunteer for Global Voices in Romanian. Her translation of the story “Through the lens of Czech-British photographer Liba Taylor: The power of photography” from English to Romanian has been nominated for the Lingua Translation Spotlight.

Once a quarter, Lingua Translation Managers select one or two outstanding translations that deserve a special round of applause. Ioana Dobre, the Romanian Lingua Translation Manager at Global Voices, commented:
